An intensely foggy day sidelined our efforts to explore some of the sequoia forests near our lodge in the park

I raced over to Auburndale Park in Newton and made my way down to the water

As the fog thinned, a small bit of sunlight began to shine through. This gave the scene a subtle gradient from light to dark, and cast some soft light on the pilings.
