Lochranza Castle, Isle of Arran, Scotland +Gellert-Joe Pencil Sketch 10" x 7"Lochranza castle was built as a hall house in the late 1200s. Now a ruin, the L shaped castle sits on a spit of land that extends into Lochranza and dominates the view from the village. I painted the castle at sunset, the colours of the sky and the castle are reflected in the calm loch.
